Looks like a 72 rear with stock brakes and E brake. The front I am not sure at all of its make.
There may be a proportioning valve that affects the pressure on the rears vs fronts. Also look at flex hoses for bulging or interior deterioration which can block them. The pads shouldn't retract at all. If the master is under the floor usually 2 lbs check valves are installed in line to maintain some pressure.
Take a look here

If possible do a few more post's and then show some pictures as it will help with ID ing the set up. I am by no means an expert but there are some very educated people on here who are !!!!!!!

On my current build I am using this mount with UHMP bushing and radius rods to the frame for something different.
On my previous projects I have the diff mounted direct to the frame without any issues. 26k miles on the 33 Vicky and 80k kms on the 52 F1.

Thanks Keeper for the complement on the toy box!!!!!
Daze I spoke to Mike Bontoft yesterday and E mailed some pics of the rear end for confirmation that his brackets will fit. I would prefer not rebuilding the diff as it has been in storage since the early 80's and only has 20-30 k kms on it. It was from a wreck in 75 and in the street rod for 2 yrs when it was swapped for a 2.88 unit. I am just waiting on Mikes response before my next move

Hi all
I have 2 hotrods/streetrods with jag rears. Both rears were complete and newer 86 and 75 +/- and the local Napa store had the brake calipers and rotors available.
I am starting a new 30 Model A vicky with full tube frame along with jag suspension again. Discovered the diff is 2.88 gears non slip. which is to high for and overdrive tranny and 29" tires. Both of the other cars have 3.54 gears and they work great .
My friend from years past had a diff in stock from his 32 build with 3.54 posi gears $50 bucks so I scooped it up. Now the question comes how can I put the newer calipers on this diff as it appears to be an early xke? unit in the sixties with horse shoe looking calipers with pistons mounted on the sides ????????? or are this gears changeable from one housing to the other ??
I will post picks when I am allowed
