If you use a cross member that is attached to the inner frame rails and hang your IRS on that, the space above that cross member is very limited and very difficult to route the exhaust from there to the valance. That leaves the option to bent the exhaust pipes so that they fit under the frame rails and curve back inwards so they can exit from the stock location. That is what I did on the first IRS unit (pics are in another post on this forum).
Another option would be to mount the IRS to a cage like Daze is planning to do and route the exhaust pipes above it. I measured the space between Daze's cage and the body which looks like enough space for the exhaust pipes to pass.

I think he figured it based on the height of my side rails.![]()
I cheated on my exhaust it comes out just in front of the rear tires so I will not need to worry about getting it around the "cage"

reference point for the overall hight of Daze's "cage" and according that said that the pipes might pass without problems. If Daze goes up with the crossmembers, well, that's another story!!!!
