Effect of wishbones not parallel to the car centerline?

What happens if the line connecting a wishbone bushings isn't parallel to the centerline?
So the wheel moves forward or backward slightly during compression/rebound.
Check the images for clarification.

For example in locosts (Lotus 7 and it's cheap replicas) frame rails are wider at the cockpit getting narrower at the front wheels to allow front wheels to steer.

What's its effect on ride and handling?
Maybe you can dial some antisquat or antidive? Or get a better ride as the wheel moves rearward a bit over bumps?

Go to Griggs racing and look at the suspensions they are using to dominate the American muscle series. (todays version of trans am) They have the upper and lower control arms on different angles. The top is parrallel to to vehicle CL however the Lower is at a angle.  This suspension works very well . Look through their gallery and check out their build ups as well as all of their track cars. Its not Factory five but Griggs is winning and unlike factory five they dont just win against their own cars.

The rear wheel will decelerate over bumps and move rearward as you said, both beneficial.
