I am wanting to put a IRS rearend in my 57 Ford F-100 project and wanting to know if a 89 Jag rearend is a good option for that they seam to be common and not to expensive any help would be appreciated.

what modle of Jag?? are the disc brakes inboard or outboard??

Another item to check is what bolt pattern is on the hubs. Assuming you'd like to keep the same bolt pattern as the front, you might need some work. I don't remember which year Ford bought Jag, but up till that point, the bolt pattern was a chevy bolt pattern and not a Ford. Don't think it is expensive to change but just one more thing to keep in mind.

Thanks for the info, and it is a 89 XJ6 it has inboard disk brakes.

That should be basically just like the one I narrowed with the exception of all the fasteners being metric. Great choice for a hot rod

Thanks again for the info, now I just need to come up with a Mustang II front end for this project and I can at least roll it in and out of my garage.

What are you looking for in a MII front end, OEM or aftermarket?

I think after market, somewhere I saw a place to get a crossmember kit that you bend and weld thought I will go that way and then some upper and lower arms after market but I am still thinking on this so any suggestions would be great.
