Your only limits are your imagination, almost

Money or talent also help.......

I found this setup that uses a C3 Corvette differential, it's the only Corvette part. It's in a TRV that comes factory with a Triumph IRS. So this guy takes his TRV installs the C3 carrier, beefs up the hubs. and makes his own links. Pretty nice.

Something that will not interest you Jag guys but Speedway has a fake IRS cover for the C3. Not my style.

Plus two others. I will be ordering one of these.

Re: Your only limits are your imagination, almost

Thats a nice set up.  Its interesting to see what people can build.  I got to tell you the "faux" cover is IMHO LAME!!  even if I wasn't a Jag guy    I am glad you are not going that way, either have a quick change or don't but don't pretend, whats the point

If it isn't broken..... modify it anyway!!!!

Re: Your only limits are your imagination, almost

What got me looking was that on Mike Zappa's site, it says quick change. It made me go hmmm........ So I Googled C3 quick change and came up with Speedway C3 diff covers. Went then and analyzed his pics and he has no quick change. He has a factory rear cover and he mounted the diff where the leaf spring mounted. Also he has coilover mounts to the front and rear, he uses the front. His setup looks pretty heavy. Notice also his bearing carriers are 4 point mounted.

Here is a rear cover for you guys.

Another thing that recently hit me like a ton of bricks, the C4 units toe rod is not the same length as or angle as the halfshaft. Built in purposeful bump steer. It seems they designed the rear to toe in during cornering, my guess is to promote under steer or negate over steer. Pretty ingenious, I have read the C4 was one of the best IRS units built.

Do you see the changes?
