Adding an additional UCA to the Jag set up

I found a a site that was talking about adding a link between the top of the hub and the differential to serve as a UCA so that stress is not on the half shafts.  At first I couldn't see how you could do that with out binding things up since the half shafts are locked in at both ends and can not float, but the page was saying if you make the link parallel with the half shafts, make the link the exact same length at the half shafts  and have the pivot ends directly over the u-joints than it will not bind.  Makes sense to me.  I am not interested in doing it but it was an interesting idea.  thoughts??

If it isn't broken..... modify it anyway!!!!

Won't work. The LCA and the half shaft are not parallel so the UCA cannot remain constant length. Unless I'm missing something.

Hi Jim, Boy you get around. Yes, you need a slip joint like drivelines  and TR6 or Datsun Z . Or CV axle.
