I have a cage setting on the ground and I am wondering what ratio it is, and then what ratio I would need.
LS1 with .7 OD in a 5200 Lbs Kruzer
2.88
29 in tire
72 MPH = 1700 RPM
3.54
29 inch
72 MPH = 2075 RPM
3.08
29 inch
72 MPH = 1800 RPM
3.31
29 inch
72 MPH = 1933 RPM

Im thinking there should be a couple metal tags on one of the rear cover bolts that will tell you the ratio you have without opening it up hopefully. 5200lbs is pretty beefy! Finding a sweetspot RPM that works well with HP and MPG might be a little hit and miss. If it was a little lighter Id think the 2.88 would okay. But to launch that much weight easier and keep the RPM in a power curve on the Highway, The 3.08 or maybe the 3.31 might be a better choice? Kinda depends on what you will be doing with it and how you like to drive. For a little research find out what kind of gears say a 72 Caddy with a 472 in was running. JM2C

Digz is correct there should be a metal tag bolted to the rear cover. it will have two numbers on it. divide the bigger number by the smaller one and that will get you the ratio. if it has an L next to one of the numbers it will be a limited slip diff.
