I know the question comes up from time to time where someone is looking for an alternative to the needle bearings in hubs and lower control arms.  
There are two options I know of:
  Kugel Komponents - 2232501 (lower control arm), 2234501 (Hubs), 2233501 (Radius Rod Arms), or 2230501 (all three).  I found them through a link for a price guide, a search of their site gave me squat.
   Daze (admin, founder and chief bill payer) has a set he sells as well.

I don't know the benefits or which materials these are made from.  My goal was to try and consolidate some information with part numbers.
