what cars had optional IRS or live axle?

In Australia, some Commodores and Falcons in the 90s had choice of rear end.
So it would be possible to compare handling with live axle to IRS in same model car.
The only other example I know is the Mustang Cobra that had IRS which could be
dropped out and converted back to live axle.
So what about other makers of RWD cars?  Did they simply abandon live axles at some
date and thereafter fit only IRS to new models?

That's a real good question.  I can't think of  any.
