Lowering a xke irs

I have a 1928 ford pick up and i need to lower the rear of the truck.It has the XKE rear suspersion.Can i cut the springs?

I wouldn't cut the springs.  Rather, I'd raise the location of the cross member in relation to the frame.  If that isn't an option, you might be able to relocate the mounting point of your coil overs.  When you have a chance and enough posts, post a picture showing how much space you have to work with.

can not move the mounts because the lower seat on the spring will hit the bar that it is mounted to.
Would it be ok to run just 2 coil overs?
