Danger In Running With Wheels Off The Ground

A Corvette guy at Vettemod was doing some service work on a rack. He had a very bad experience with his IRS hanging and putting the car in gear running.

BEWARE!

Re: Danger In Running With Wheels Off The Ground

I read the thread and it didn't seem to find (yet) what actually broke.  I saw several things which it might have been, cracked the case, excessive bind from arms hanging down, etc.

Not disagreeing that it is a bad idea to run through the gears with the rear hanging at max extension.  Did I miss something in the article?
Thanks for the cross post, it is good to know

I read exactly the same. I don't think he began any work. However he knows it's the diff.
