When I was young and had the surplus energy I would do these kinds of modification to my daily driver.  It was a real pain to try to wrap it up for Monday morning.
  Now I have multiple daily drivers I leave bone stock.  That way I can take my time with pet projects and fear no dead lines.
   BTW.
   I found a some of pic's I took of the hub carriers back when they were still bare steel and not yet finished.  I forgot I took them and was sure my wife had erased them from the memory card long ago.  I will try to post them.
