Then I polished the outside bead smooth


my MIG work is not as elegant as your torch work, but it will do


If it isn't broken..... modify it anyway!!!!

We didn't have the MIG welder at that time so gas was my only choice. Your piece looks really good.


If it's worth building ... it's worth over building

yes, but a monkey can point a wire feed gun at a piece of steel and pull the trigger.  It takes a true craftsman to use a torch to weld.  Its a skill I don't have and I respect it

Thanks!!  Not sure yet how I want to do the back one, but I am really pleased with how the front one came out.
